PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE- Partner since 2008 in Luongo & Co., LLC, a certified public accounting firm established in 2008 that focuses on real estate and construction consulting, real estate due diligence and cost segregation studies, non-profit organizations, manufacturing, accounting and management, as well as litigation support, tax and business planning and management advisory services. - Prior to joining Luongo & Co., LLC, John was a Principal at The Schonbraun McCann Group, LLC formerly known as Schonbraun Safris McCann & Bekritsky & Co., LLC from 1998 to 2004. The areas of focus included real estate and construction consulting, non-profit organizations, manufacturing, accounting and management, tax and business planning, due diligence, cost segregation, Internal Audit and management advisory services. - Held various positions including CFO and Controller in regional real estate companies prior to 1998.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Tax Director since 2015, Tom had his own practice in Toms River for 13 years prior to merging with Luongo & Co.  Prior to establishing his own firm, he was a tax manager at Hutchins, Farrell, Meyer & Allison, PA and Ernst & Young LLC.  Prior-he held the CFO position at Brightwork Development Co., a software company, later merged into McAfee.  He also, was a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary / Treasurer of First Financial Credit Union, located in NJ.  His areas of focus include; accounting, tax return preparation and minimization strategies, IRS and State tax disputes, bankruptcy,  retirement and estate planning, business controller and audit.  Clients include; real estate, legal & medical practices, manufacturing and service companies. His charity work includes: Distribution Team Captain for United Way of Ocean County.
